New build Pre-completion checks (Snagging)

A new build pre-completion inspection is the final inspection carried out to newly built or renovated property. The purpose of the inspection is to identify defects and areas of workmanship that fall below standard, allowing builders time to resolve any issues prior to the owners taking occupation.

Property owners can undertake their own pre-completion checks but it is advised, due to the broad scope of working parts and varying finishes, that the pre-completion check is undertaken by a Charted Professional with expert knowledge of the industry.

Employing a Charted Professional who has the appropriate professional indemnity insurance in place, offers comfort to owners that pre-completion check has been undertaken to professional standards and adds both value and efficiency towards ensuring any defects or areas of poor workmanship are correctly resolved.
